Diego on My Browser
Master muralist Diego Rivera got the Google Doodle treatment today in commemoration of his 125th birthday.
Born Diego María de la Concepción Juan Nepomuceno Estanislao de la Rivera y Barrientos Acosta y Rodríguez in Guanajuato on December 8, 1886, Rivera along with fellow artists David Alfaro Siqueiros, José Clemente Orozco and Rufino Tamayo became an international catalyst for the Mexican muralist movement.
Rivera’s two-time wife, legendary paintor Frida Kahlo, was also recognized by Google with her own Doodle on July, 2010.
“If I ever loved a woman, the more I loved her, the more I wanted to hurt her. Frida was only the most obvious victim of this disgusting trait,” he said of his famous Friducha after her passing.
